Breast Implant Removal
Question: I have breast implants and want them removed. I do not want to replace them. What are my options?

Answer: Explantation, which is removal of breast implants, is becoming more common these days. Removing breast implants (as well as putting them in) is a major decision done for personal reasons. Some women want their breast implants out because their breasts have enlarged over the years. Some women are concerned about Breast Implant Illness. Others have had complications and feel the time and expense are not worth continuing with implants. If implants are removed, the breasts may look deflated or indented and saggy. Some women will accept this condition and others want a breast lift or fat transfer to improve the appearance.
